Applied Training Solutions (ATS) recently partnered with Lockheed Martin to support a high-visibility Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) training demonstration at Lockheed Martin’s Training and Logistics Solutions (TLS) facility in Orlando, Florida. This event showcased the power of integrated training environments and ATS played a critical role in bringing realism to life.
ATS was tasked with providing experienced role players to enhance the realism and operational fidelity of the demonstration. ATS deployed a team of seven former U.S. Army Soldiers and Marines, with backgrounds in infantry and reconnaissance operations.
These personnel were carefully selected not only for their military experience, but for their ability to operate dynamically within a complex, multi-domain training environment.
ATS role players were fully embedded into the demonstration, executing both BLUFOR (friendly forces) and OPFOR (opposing forces) roles. Their participation enabled Lockheed Martin to deliver an immersive, scenario-driven experience that accurately reflected real-world combat conditions.
Key contributions included:
• Executing force-on-force and force-on-target scenarios using Airsoft M4 platforms
• Applying Individual Movement Techniques (IMT) to ensure tactical authenticity
• Adapting in real time to direction from Lockheed Martin’s exercise leadership
• Supporting scenario setup and reset operations to maintain seamless demo flow
This level of realism is critical in LVC environments, where the credibility of live participants directly impacts the effectiveness of the overall training system.
ATS personnel maintained the highest standards of professionalism throughout the engagement. All role players arrived mission-ready each day, equipped with appropriate military uniforms and protective gear, and were fully compliant with facility access and security requirements.
Their ability to integrate smoothly into Lockheed Martin’s operations, while remaining flexible to evolving demo needs, highlighted ATS’s commitment to reliability and execution excellence.
