ATS awarded contract in support of Department of Army’s TPO ATSC STRAC Division

We are delighted to announce our Training Support System-Enterprise (TSS-E) Task Order award in support of the U.S. Army’s Training and Doctrine Command Proponent Office (TPO), Army Training Support Center, Standards in Training Commission (STRAC) Division at Fort Eustis, Virginia.

The TRADOC Proponent Office plays a vital role as the Army’s combat and training developer, validating concepts and requirements which support the development of Army live-fire range facilities and associated training strategies. With the Army’s leadership converging on a vision and concept for a Future Force and committing to a path toward transformation, the TPO’s role becomes even more critical.

The objectives of this contract include providing STRAC analysis and assessment of the impact of the Army’s transformation on training ammunition requirements, thereby supporting the success of the STRAC mission.

The scope of services to be provided involves determining the quantities and types of munitions required for Soldiers, crews, and units to attain and sustain weapon proficiency relative to readiness levels, validating all ammunition requirements for combat and operation load, home station and combat training centers, POIs, New Equipment Training, and Mobilization Training through the STRAC process as outlined in AR 5-13 (Army Munitions Requirements, Prioritization, and Authorizations Management Policy).

The rapid transition to a modular force structure will impact present and future weapons training strategies, ammunition requirements, Program Objective Memorandums, ranges, targets, and land usage. This transformation necessitates the development of new weapons strategies to align with deployment and combat needs, incorporating lessons learned from Iraq, Afghanistan, and past battlefield experiences.

In support of these significant changes, ATSC, STRAC Division has a requirement to conduct analysis and assessments of modularity into ammunition management, Training Range planning, design, and implementation, TRADOC Program of Instruction, and new land requirements.

We are honored to support the TRADOC Proponent Office in their mission to ensure the readiness and effectiveness of our U.S. Army forces. This contract represents our commitment to excellence and dedication to providing essential support in the development of cutting-edge training strategies and ammunition requirements.
