ATS Leads USAG Exercise

Last month, ATS led an Ft. Riley’s USAG exercise that evaluated the installation’s ability to respond to a man-made mass casualty event. The exercise tested coordination with local agencies, ensure mission assurance, and build community resilience. ATS served as the Prime Contractor and provided planning, design, support, and simulation services for the exercise. The exercise began with domestic terrorists disabling power substations using drones, causing a massive power outage on the post. Emergency operations were activated, and an assailant attempted to breach a main Access Control Point, leading to injuries and a MASCAL incident. Throughout the exercise, USAG Ft. Riley faced the challenge of synthesizing information from various sources and coordinating emergency efforts among different organizations and partners. The exercise allowed the installation to test procedures, including EOC and DPW operations, Incident Command, damage assessment, security measures, and communication with local agencies and Higher Headquarters. ATS’s Design Team contributed to the exercise’s success by providing support, simulation modeling, and realistic scenarios. The team employed various products to provide a realistic representation of events. This enhanced the execution of the exercise design which allowed the installation to effectively test their plans, policies and procedures. “As a leader in emergency preparedness training and readiness, ATS delivers innovative, experience-based, disaster-preparedness and exercise solutions for local, state, and federal agencies to protect communities.
