Title: Capture Manager


What do you do for ATS?

As an ATS Capture Manager my duties and responsibilities include: 

• Planning, documenting, and managing internal and external capture project plans and efforts.

• Briefing senior leadership and management as needed for approvals to move the opportunity forward.

• Analyzing the organization’s strategic plans and products.

• Determining what the potential customer needs are to fulfill the requirements of the opportunity.• Aligning marketing intelligence information with the capture and win strategy.

• Conducting a detailed competition analysis.

• Developing and assessing the price to win strategy.

• Generating a baseline proposal management plan and opportunity program plan.

• Preparing plan for the proposal development phase.

• Appointing, supervising and collaborating strategies with the Program and Proposal Manager.

• Serving as primary point of contact between the proposal team, pricing, and the program office solution team.

• Monitoring, reviewing, and directing weekly proposal progress from a top management perspective, ensuring adherence to the ATS Business Development Flow Chart process and proposal schedule.

• Providing executive-level guidance to the Proposal Manager and Program Manager for development of the Executive Summary and other key proposal summaries.

• Preparing and presenting the capture plan at all Gate reviews.

• Participating as an independent evaluator in all major proposal reviews.


What do you consider your biggest accomplishment while working for ATS?

  • Building a pipeline and positioning ATS to Capture work = position + bid + win work for ATS in 2021 and beyond.

Do you have a spouse and children? If so, please provide their names:

  • My wife and I have been married over twenty-five years.  We met in March of 1987 in Los Angeles, CA.  We have three children: Jai – 23, Elsa – 21, and Cobie – 22.  Elsa and Cobie are students at Florida State University.

What do you enjoy doing during your time away from the office?

  • I enjoy spending time with my family and my hobbies include boating, fishing and spearfishing.

What would your colleagues be surprised to learn about you?

  • I was in a Trix cereal commercial in 1976 when I was eleven years old.

Describe your impression of the work ATS does for its government and industry clients?

  • ATS is well respected in the M&S community by Government and Industry partner alike.  My impression of ATS is that we are a very capable small business with strong expertise in modeling, simulations and training for local, state and federal clients in the particularly in the areas of emergency preparedness and response, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief and response.
