LOWER ALLOWAYS CREEK TOWNSHIP, NJ – On May 10, 2022, the Federal Emergency Management Agency hosted the Radiological Emergency Preparedness Program (REPP) Salem / Hope Creek II exercise in Lower Alloways Creek Township, New Jersey and surrounding communities.
Applied Training Solutions, LLC (ATS), worked in support of ICF, the prime contractor, in collecting exercise data and observations from the field observers/controllers and presentation of out-brief materials for exercise support personnel and the media. All ATS support to ICF was provided remotely.
The purpose of the Salem/Hope Creek II exercise was to test the emergency notification process in the communities surrounding the Salem/Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Stations and the standing up of local emergency operations centers. The REPP is important because it helps build preparedness and resilience for communities in the vicinity of nuclear generation stations.
As a leader in emergency preparedness training and readiness, ATS continues to actively work to deliver innovative, experience-based disaster-preparedness exercises solutions for local, state and federal agencies to protect communities.
