HAMPTON, VA, May 16, 2022 – Applied Training Solutions, LLC (ATS) has been awarded the Enterprise Training Services Contract (ETSC) for Defense Support to Civilian Authorities (DSCA). U.S. Army North (USARNORTH), on behalf of the U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), is responsible for execution of the Department of Defense (DOD) DSCA courses. ATS will support USARNORTH with an instructor cadre to plan and conduct the DSCA courses and facilitate primary emergency preparedness training for military members and civilian employees of USNORTHCOM, USARNORTH and supporting units.
In the event of a natural or manmade disaster, DSCA is the mechanism through which the DOD provides military capabilities in support of another primary agency supporting a state, local, territorial, or tribal response. The DSCA contract provides training and education to ensure the readiness of DOD members and partners prior to an actual event. Training focuses on necessary statutes, policy, doctrine, systems, processes and communications in order to maximize support effects in the minimum amount of time.
