HAMPTON, VA – Team ATS, which consists of Applied Training Solutions (ATS) and Nusura, is pleased to announce that it was recently awarded a contract to provide off-the-shelf, state-of-the-art customizable Risk Mitigation Modeling & Simulation (RMM&S) solutions for a range of Homeland Defense (HD), Civil Support (CS), Domestic Resilience, and Security Cooperation (SC) exercises and training events. These exercises will be conducted by NORAD and USNORTHCOM (N&NC), its Components and Subordinates, the National Guard Bureau (NGB), additional Department of Defense (DOD) partners, and training and exercise partners in other federal departments and agencies, states, tribal authorities, non-Government organizations, faith-based organizations, the private sector, and partner nations. Team ATS’s RMM&S solutions will support N&NC strategic exercise priorities of Global Integration, Domain Awareness, Information Dominance, and Decision Superiority, enabling N&NC to train to create time, options, and decision space in order to Deter in Competition, Deescalate in Crisis, and Deny and Defeat in Conflict.
ATS has provided M&S capability to USARNORTH for over 13 years, to NGB for over 12 years, and to USNORTHCOM for over 10 years. RMM&S applications are used by a number of DOD and non-DOD organizations and in varying configurations to meet emergency and RMM&S requirements for realistic training environments. This contract unifies the basic, underlying infrastructure framework of existing hardware machines, servers, and software licenses. This unity of effort and efficiency of shared resources will leverage limited modeling and simulation (M&S) resources across multiple training partner organizations, while simultaneously building a common training environment that will maximize training interoperability, minimize training simulation incompatibilities, and establish a larger library of available training scenarios.
